An alarm bell
Dora and Byron are both lawyers who had tried personal training before, but found it unrealistic and restrictive, and hard to fit around demanding careers and busy social lives. If anything, the experience with their previous trainer left them more stressed, not less. For Byron, the trigger to change was blunt: a button popped off his shirt earlier in the year, and that was the alarm bell.

In it together
Byron started coming to ATP because Dora was already there, and kept coming for the coaching and the results. The two of them felt proud tackling it together as a couple. Dora had already worked through plenty of gyms and personal training programmes of her own, chain and boutique alike, and says none of them compared to her experience at ATP.
I have been to many different gyms, be it chain or boutique, and participated in a variety of personal training programs but none of these compare to what I have experienced here at ATP Personal Training!Dora

Making time
The approach worked. Byron has lost 13.5kg and Dora is down 5kg, and both have brought down their body fat levels. Byron puts it simply: the excuse everyone gives, themselves included, is being too busy, but working with the coaches shows you that time is something you make for yourself.
The excuse everybody gives is that ‘we’re very busy, we don’t have time for this.’ Coming in and working with the coaches helps you realize that time is something you make for yourself.Byron
Sustainable, not restrictive
What set it apart from their old trainer was that it felt sustainable rather than restrictive. Dora found the process pushed her to think about making her career more sustainable too, alongside her professional development. She had come in hoping to shore up her yoga performance, and ended up with a broader awareness of strength training and a genuinely healthier lifestyle.
After a few weeks with my coach and ATP, I feel healthier and physically stronger and, more importantly, I believe this is sustainable.Byron

Built together
For both of them, training has become something built together: a shared, healthier lifestyle and a common goal they are working towards side by side.
It feels like we have built something together and we have a much healthier lifestyle and a common goal to work towards.Dora
