A frustrating cycle
Peggy had struggled with her weight for years. Despite staying active, she could not shed the kilos she gained after giving birth, and the weight she did lose never stayed off. She relied on strict diets that left her constantly hungry, and watching her peers stay fit while she felt out of shape wore down her confidence. Earlier this year she made a firm decision to commit fully to her goals and came to ATP.
I’ve struggled with weight loss for many years. Despite leading an active lifestyle, I couldn’t seem to shed the extra kilos I gained after giving birth. Even when I did manage to lose some weight, it was never sustainable.Peggy

Fixing the technique and the diet
Peggy came to ATP with a good foundation of activity, including short-distance running and resistance training, but she had never trained at real intensity and her technique was still developing. Her previous trainer had also put her on just 900 calories a day while pushing more exercise, a combination that worked against her goals. Coach Toni rebuilt her approach from the ground up, teaching her food composition and the fundamentals of calorie intake and expenditure.
Her motivation surged, and we saw significant changes in just a few weeks of working together.Toni
Twenty-six weeks of results
Over 26 weeks, Peggy’s body fat fell from 31.9% to 11.2%, and she lost 13kg, going from 65.2kg to 52.2kg. She hit personal records in her split squats, back squats, Romanian deadlifts and dumbbell shoulder presses, and completed her first unassisted pull-up.

For the first time in years, I no longer need to add ‘lose weight’ to my New Year’s resolutions.Peggy
Peggy no longer relies on strict diets or short-term fixes. She has her confidence back, a stronger body, and a way of eating and training she can sustain for good.
