Two names on the business, two health problems to fix
LT and Shirley run a successful healthy meal delivery business in Singapore, but for years neither of them was living what they sold. LT was carrying serious excess weight alongside an old back injury, and Shirley wanted more than to tell clients how to eat well, she wanted to feel strong herself.
I’m one of the business owners of a health meal company and not a young man anymore. I joined ATP because I wanted to lose weight and feel good for my health. I was extremely fat before and that made me pretty unhealthy.LT
He’d also been living with recurring back injuries for years and needed to get back in proper shape. Coming to ATP, he says, was a good decision and a good investment, one that boosted his self confidence as much as his health.
Two coaches, two very different jobs
Wei Hong took on LT’s coaching, and the biggest obstacle wasn’t the gym, it was food. LT is a self-confessed foodie who would quietly snack through the day, so Wei Hong leaned on Shirley to help keep him honest rather than force a strict diet he’d never stick to. When old injuries flared, shoulder inflammation, then a knee problem from running, the programme was adjusted around them instead of pushing through.
I thought I’m here just to lose weight but I think my coach Celine has actually given me a different perspective. I think it’s more like a lifestyle change.Shirley
Celine coached Shirley from scratch: building her confidence with unfamiliar gym movements first, then layering in proper technique and safety.

What changed
LT hasn’t had a back pain flare-up in four to five months, stairs no longer feel like a struggle, and he has the energy to get through his working day. Shirley now runs 10km in around an hour, walks 15km without strain, and plays four to five hours of golf without tiring, changes neither of them expected when they started.
I’ve dropped 13 kg already. My pants waist has gone from size 30 to size 24.Shirley
Shirley’s cholesterol and blood pressure have both improved, and for LT the biggest win has been confidence, fitting into smaller clothes, feeling lighter, and having friends and colleagues notice the difference.

Passing it on
LT and Shirley now train together and eat the same meals, pushing each other toward the same goal. That’s spilled into their business too, with colleagues and clients noticing the change and asking how they did it.
Make a commitment. It’s a long-term commitment to a lifestyle change. Get some professional help. That’s really important.LT
For LT and Shirley, the real win wasn’t just the number on the scale, it was building a lifestyle they could pass on to their team, friends and family.
