A history he didn’t want to repeat
Mo, a manager at Google, had a family history of diabetes and high blood pressure and didn’t want that to become part of his own life if there was a chance he could avoid it. That was the real motivation behind his transformation.
My family has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure and I didn’t want that to be a part of my life if there is a chance I can avoid it.Mo

A rollercoaster, not a straight line
Mo is honest that it wasn’t a perfectly straight path. Some stretches he was in a groove, others he had a cheat day or slipped up. What mattered, he says, was getting back on track every time and staying more consistent over the long run, while still celebrating the milestones along the way.
The most important thing that I took away from this experience was just getting back in the saddle, getting back on the horse and making sure that you can be more consistent over time.Mo
Learning the macros
Mo’s three biggest challenges were monitoring his food intake, learning about macros, and resisting temptation. The holistic lifestyle approach helped him overcome all three: he learned what was actually in his food, was shown how to build his own meal ideas for the long term, and kept his daily activity high enough to get him off the couch.

A coach who showed up
Mo’s self-confidence, knowledge of food, and general happiness and wellbeing all increased dramatically. He credits his coach directly: educating him on the macro breakdown of the foods he actually eats, helping him find alternatives that were both on-plan and enjoyable, and adjusting the approach as his goals shifted.
My coach has been awesome, she’s been my biggest cheerleader, she’s not afraid to push back when I complain.Mo

23kg later
Comparing day one to now, Mo has a far better understanding of what to eat and what to keep in moderation, and he thinks constantly about staying active because he now feels how much it affects his happiness and wellbeing. He plans to run periodic dieting phases to maintain his results, but fundamentally his new normal is a big step up from where he started.
My friends were blown away by my weight loss. In total I lost 23kg working with ATP. Everyone was very surprised and proud of my physical transformation.Mo
It took months to undo 28 years of unhealthy eating, Mo says, and it was worth every bit of the effort.
