Lockdown catches up
Dennis was in decent shape before COVID, but lockdown changed his habits. He started drinking most days, stopped moving as much, and by the time cricket season resumed he had put on weight, lost his speed on the field and was tiring quickly. That was the moment he decided to focus on his fitness. He had tried to turn things around on his own before, more than once, but kept stalling without real training structure or nutrition guidance to back it up.

Consistency, not intensity
Working with coach Jasper, Dennis became far more consistent with his diet and lifestyle and drastically cut back his drinking. The lesson that stuck with him most was simple: no amount of hard training makes up for ignoring food, sleep and routine outside the gym.
If you don’t focus on the rest of the things like food and nutrition, your routine and everything outside of the gym, then you will not be able to achieve the result.Dennis
The numbers, with Coach Jasper
Dennis joined ATP wanting a change of lifestyle, to lose weight and to lift his cricket performance, after several failed attempts on his own without any real structure. Coach Jasper takes it from there.
We managed to drop 10 kilos of bodyweight in total. His strength also climbed to new levels, with his chin-ups going from 3 reps to sets of 12.Jasper

Best shape of his life
At 34, Dennis feels more energetic, confident and focused at work, and it shows on the cricket pitch too: his first match of the new season went better than expected because he had the energy and confidence to back himself. People around him have noticed the change, and the feedback has been a welcome bonus on top of the result itself.
Everyone sees a difference in me, and the feedback from them, it’s been fantastic.Dennis
Dennis puts it simply: consistency is what separates people who try from people who change. Get the training, food and routine pointing the same direction, and the results follow. He is happy with what he and Jasper have built together, and it shows every time he walks back out onto the pitch.
