Strength for the mat
Joyce is a yoga instructor who also works in banking. She signed up at ATP mainly to build strength for her yoga practice, and to work the muscles her yoga sessions were not reaching on their own. Training with a coach who also has a yoga background made the whole approach click for her early on.

Feeling it on the mat
She was surprised by how quickly her strength improved, and it showed up directly in her yoga practice: more strength, more stability, more control in poses that used to be a struggle. Muscle groups that had felt almost nonexistent in her body before training started to properly switch on and engage.
I’m glad to be able to train with my coach who understands me very well as she’s also a yoga instructor.Joyce

More than a stronger practice
Her original goal was simply more strength for yoga. She did not expect the programme to also reshape her body composition and introduce proper clean eating into her life. That part, she says, has been worth just as much: better skin, better sleep, more energy through the day, and a generally happier mood, for her and her husband both.

A shared routine
Joyce’s husband trains at ATP too, so the two of them keep each other accountable, whether that is an early gym session or a walk together to stay active outside of training.
I have a healthy routine. I’m happier. We are happier because of the new healthy routine.Joyce

Not only has my body shape improved, my skin has improved. I sleep better. I have more energy throughout the day.Joyce
Guided by someone who gets it
Her coach had also trained in yoga, and that combined knowledge of bodybuilding and yoga made it easier to guide Joyce through a programme that matched how she actually learns, adapting the approach along the way rather than running a single standard plan. Joyce has since recommended ATP to people around her, and says several of them report the same kind of positive experience she had.
