The End of an Era.
The Evolution of Elite Training.
When Ultimate Performance closed its Central flagship in 2025, the era of the 12-week “Hero Photo” ended. We kept what made that coaching work and dropped the crash-and-rebound that came with it. You still start with a focused 8 to 12 week block. What changed is what happens after it: a body that holds up 52 weeks a year, not for one day in front of a camera.

I Helped Run the Original Model.
I Built Its Successor.
For years I was the General Manager at Ultimate Performance during its peak. It was the brand that brought data-driven body transformation to Asia, and it got a lot right: serious coaching, real accountability, and results that lasted exactly as long as you stayed on the programme.
I also saw what it got wrong. The whole model pointed at a single moment, the 12-week “Hero Photo.” At the end of it, clients weren’t celebrating their health. They were counting down to the binge meal they’d promised themselves. Somewhere along the way, head office started caring more about the photo than the person in it.
The best coaches drifted away. Hong Kong got neglected for years, and once the business was sold to private equity the writing was on the wall. The Central flagship closing in 2025 was just the last page of a model that wouldn’t adapt to what this city wanted: consistency over intensity.
I started ATP to fix that. We still kick off with a focused 8 to 12 week plan, because that’s how you build momentum early. But for us that block is the start of a coaching continuum, not the finish line. Today it’s where a lot of Hong Kong’s busiest people come to get in shape and stay there.
A Photo Is Not a Result.
The old model treated 12 weeks as the whole story: hit a number, shoot the photo, done. But the photo is one morning of your life, and the crash diet behind it costs a busy professional far more than that morning is worth.
You don’t need to train for a photo shoot. You need energy for Monday morning, a suit that fits in every season, and a standard you can hold without white-knuckling it.
The Metabolic Crash
Extreme deprivation tanks your metabolism. The body you starved for the photo fights to undo it the moment the diet ends.
The Brain Fog
You can’t lead a meeting, close a deal, or think clearly when you’re depleted, under-fuelled and irritable. Your career pays the bill.
The Rebound
The weight comes back within weeks and the cycle starts again. Twelve weeks of work, gone, because nothing was set up to hold it in place.
From the 12-Week Stunt to the 52-Week Standard
Same standards. A model built around how busy people live.
Built for the Corporate Athlete
Our clients run companies and close deals across time zones. They can’t afford to be foggy or flat for a single meeting. They want a standard they can hold every week of the year, wherever the work takes them.
Energy That Compounds
Training programmed to leave something in the tank, so the hour you spend with us pays for itself at work.
A Body That Performs Under Pressure
Lean, strong and hard to rattle. Built to hold up through long days, jet lag and high-stakes weeks.
A Plan That Survives Real Life
Built around travel, client dinners and 12-hour days, so staying consistent doesn’t need a perfect week.
The D.N.A. Method
Three things we get right, and your data decides the rest.
Daily Routine
We build training around your actual week: early mornings, the gaps between meetings, the days you’re travelling. The aim is a routine that survives your busiest week.
Nutrition
No crash diets, no banned foods, no plan you’ll abandon in a fortnight. We coach you to eat for performance and a lean physique around restaurants, client dinners and travel.
Activity
Strength-led programming that builds and keeps muscle while the fat comes off. Body composition measured regularly, your plan adjusted from the measurements.
Sustainability. Performance. Accountability.
Sustainability
Results that don’t vanish the moment a block ends. You finish knowing how to keep them yourself.
Performance
Sessions built to support long days rather than compete with them. Strong is useful; exhausted is not.
Accountability
A dedicated coach with a full team behind them. That’s structure and cover a one-person studio can’t match.
Results That Lasted.
Hong Kong professionals who wanted to get in serious shape without wrecking the rest of their lives to do it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ultimate Performance closed its Central flagship in 2025 and left the Hong Kong market. ATP carries that coaching forward in Central, rebuilt around staying in shape for good rather than peaking for a photo.
Both, and they work together. Almost everyone starts with a focused 8 to 12 week block to build momentum and see a visible change. From there you move onto our coaching continuum, where we keep progressing you so the results hold instead of slipping. The short block is the on-ramp, not the whole story.
No. We kept the serious side of the old model: strength-led training, measured progress, coaches who chase you when you go quiet. We dropped the parts that broke people, like crash diets and the rebound after. You get a proper transformation, and you keep it.
A good independent trainer can coach you well, but it all rests on one person and one diary. At ATP your coach has a full team behind them: structured programming, regular body-composition tracking, and cover when life gets in the way. You’re hiring an organisation, not just an individual.
A chat to understand your goals, a body-composition assessment, and a full training session with a coach. No hard sell. If it’s not for you, no problem.
Plenty of our clients start exactly there. Byron Mann transformed at 53, and one member lost 24kg in his seventies. Your coach builds the plan around your body and brings you on at a safe pace.
