Fernando overhauled his physique to lose 13kg and revamped his lifestyle to ensure long term success. He incorporated exercise into his daily life, learned to cook, and even inspired his friends and family to do the same through his own amazing results.

How would you compare yourself from day one to now, in terms of fitness, mindset, physique, and health?
My physique has changed 100%. I am so happy with how much fat I have lost and the amount of muscle I’ve built. I am so much fitter than before; exercise is part of my daily life now and I feel so excited to exercise instead of dreading it like before.
I have a lot more motivation to be active and have learnt so much during the process which makes it a lot easier for me to make healthier choices, drink less, and even enjoy my meals a lot more.
Through these training sessions, I have found the value of scheduling in some “me time”. I train in the morning and these sessions set me up perfectly for the day. It keeps me focused and positive.

What do you think has been your greatest achievement since trusting ATP with your health and fitness journey?
A lot has changed. I am far more health-conscious and more motivated to be active (and drink less!)
My greatest achievement has been making fitness part of my life, thoroughly enjoying exercising and learning how to incorporate it into my daily routine. Even at Christmas or on holidays I still make the time and now have the knowledge to keep up with my health and fitness.
I have also learnt to cook, which I could never do before.

How has this affected those that are close to you, has it inspired or motivated them to take action
Yes absolutely. My friends could see the results I was achieving so they started to follow and try to lead healthier lifestyles. I have friends also asking me for tips and wanting to join me on hikes.
Is the nutrition aspect as hard as everyone thinks?
No. Not at all! There is so much support during the process you learn so much. I have actually come to have a good understanding of nutrition and look at what’s on my plate slightly differently than before.

Was it intimidating getting started?
No! I have been to quite a few gyms and have had my fair share of experiences. I think one of the greatest benefits of ATP is the non-judgmental, friendly, supportive environment. They are all normal people with a passion for health and fitness, looking to help you out in any way possible.
If there’s one thing you’d recommend to someone who’s about to start their fitness journey, what would it be?
It’s an investment in yourself, so enjoy it!
