The changes James made went beyond skin deep, transforming both his physical and mental health. He now wakes up ready to attack each day with vigour and confidence.
By working closely with his ATP coach for 20 weeks James was able to lose a substantial amount of body fat whilst building lean tissue. Not only was he able to make impressive visual changes but, most importantly, he learned how to adjust his nutrition and lifestyle in order to maintain his new found health.
What was it that motivated you to take your first step at ATP?
I have always been an active guy, going to the gym 3/4 times a week, but felt like I was plateauing. There were no visible changes to my body. Therefore, I thought guidance and training from a personal trainer could give me that extra push to reach my goals.
What were you looking to achieve? What were your initial goals?
My initial goal was to gain more muscle. Have a bigger chest, shapely shoulders, and biceps, tight thighs. All of that.
What kept you motivated throughout your time at ATP?
Seeing the results whether it be through seeing the drop on the weighing scales or those once tight work trousers now being too loose to wear or through the daily compliments of friends and colleagues was definitely the biggest motivation to continue and constantly give my best.

What changed when you came to ATP?
I think the most significant change was my overall knowledge. I didn’t know very much about nutrition and diet, in general.

How has training at ATP helped you work towards/achieve your goals?
Well, after losing over 15KG and seeing physical gains all over my body, I would say it’s an extremely successful experience and I have to thank Josh more than anything for his constant support, words of wisdom and expert knowledge that without I would not have achieved these goals.
What have you overcome to achieve your success at ATP?
The biggest obstacle to overcome was the diet change. As a teacher, it’s often easier to just come home, go to the gym and then go to a restaurant / get takeaway for the sake of easiness. However, because of ATP and Josh specifically, I learned which foods where better to eat, at what times and most importantly, the measurements. With this knowledge, I started to cook my own dinners and prepare lunches in bulk for the upcoming week. It was actually quite easy to implement this into my daily life.
What have you achieved, since working with ATP?
Well, I have lost 15KG, over 20% body fat and visible muscle gains all over my body, with abs starting to push through (which I’ve promised myself every year for the past 3).

Were there any obstacles that would have prevented you from starting the process?
Absolutely none. I knew this was something I wanted to do and had to do. I needed the change and this was the way to do it.
Do you feel different about yourself in any way since you started personal training with us?

How would you describe your experience at ATP personal training, from the gym workouts, nutritional coaching, and support?
The whole experience has been life-changing. My workouts have improved phenomenally, given the fact I’m now warming up with weights that I once wouldn’t even dare try to lift. The nutritional side of this experience has definitely been educational for sure. I now know how to live a healthy, balanced life.
