I’ve improved 1000%! I’ve gained so much more confidence in my body image and more importantly, I now feel confident to make the right decisions for my body such as what to eat, what not to eat, how to exercise, and how to stretch to get the very best out of myself.
In the beginning, I was hiking once a week and not doing any other kind of exercise. Now I work out at least 3 times a week in the gym and also do a run and a hike each week. I was pushed hard when training but seeing myself progress and able to lift more than my body weight in certain exercises was incredible!
I am also a lot more conscious about what I eat and drink. I still allow myself to have fun with food and drink but in a much more balanced way. I feel so much healthier than I used to!
Now I have a general sense of confidence in myself that wasn’t there before. I carry that with me every day and it is great!
My daily routine has changed a bit as well: I get up a lot earlier in order to work out so my days have become longer, but I am so much more refreshed now, and feel so much healthier when I begin my workday than I was before. Training has given me a good outlet for my stress! I used to really not want to work out, but now I know that even if I am feeling sluggish beforehand that I will never regret it once I’ve started.
I have always been nervous about gyms because of the ‘bro’ culture, but ATP took away a lot of that insecurity, and my coach Bianca was great at not making me feel bad about myself. Together we built my confidence in every session.
Having a coach is a great investment; the accountability is great! It is so easy to wake up and not want to work out, but if there is someone there waiting for you then you’re going to go. Coaches are also great at pushing you out of your comfort zone, and teaching you the proper form so you won’t injure yourself. I recommend that if you want to learn how to be healthy and get in shape you try out ATP.
